Thanks for your interest in this room in our flat. Please **read all information** as it is important that you know all the details of this particular flat!

We are looking for one flatmate interested in a permanent room in Oerlikon, 8050 Zurich, starting on **1st of August.** We are looking for a longterm tenant, who wants to stay in Zürich for a longer period of time(more than a year, preferably more than 3 years)..

Together
with you we will be **8 people in total**, guys and girlsaround 30-37. Our apartment is part of the cooperative "**mehr als wohnen**", which is a visionary project that aims for a non-profit (Genossenschaft) high community life quality :-). It has many nice groups for and run by the residents, such as yoga, salsa, languages; as well as access to gym, concerts, sauna, wood cutting and bike repairing workshop, etc. So if you wish, you can participate in any group or organise new groups.

**Room:**
The partly furnished room (3, yellow-orange in the map) has an area of **12.8 m2** with direct access to the common large balcony and a king-sized hanging bed. The room is located in a 2-person cluster that you will share with Jonas (originally from Aarau 37 years old). In the cluster the 2 of you will share the common entrance with sink and fridge and the bathroom. (see pictures).
Outside of your private room you can enjoy our huge common space of **171 m**2, which includes a huge kitchen, living room, large balcony, a shared office space and even a guest room for visitors.

**Costs:**
The room
costs in total **815 CHF/month**, which include electricity, Internet, TV-Radio (Serafe), a cleaning service for the common spaces and also a contribution to the Mobiliarfonds, which is a budget we use to buy new furniture, tools or repair / maintain them. Additionally just like everyone of us, you will have to make two deposits that you get back whenever you move out: a rent deposit of **~315 CHF** for the flat, and larger one requested to anyone living in this cooperative buildings (Genossenschaft) of **~10'500 CHF** (Anteilskapital). This last one generates interest so you will receive more money back ;).

**About us:**
We are 7 people (guys and girls) around 35 years old, some a bit older or younger, and all friendly, positive souls. We are quite an international group (Swiss, German, Italian, Mexican) speaking mainly English, German or Swiss-German, depending on who is around. We work in different fields, from engineering (mechanical and water), science (AI, environmental psychology, soil,materials) to international development. We share meals with whomever is around, and sometimes we also organise events and invite friends or neighbours. We are part of a SolaWi (Solidarische Landwirtschaft), and every week, we receive local organic veggies. We like to keep the apartment nice, joyful and harmonious. And also, we have regular meetings to share anything relevant, plan anything or make decisions, based on sociocratic principles. We share house tasks as usual.

**About you:**
You are a respectful person and enjoy living in a community. Do you already have experience with such a project and do you have the capacity to contribute to it? As we already have some guys in the flat, **we would** **prefer if you are** **non cis-male** to balance our gender diversity. If you are a standard guy, we might not answer your message at the beginning, but we do are considering you, especially in case you put effort in your message! So we might write to you a bit later if we dont find our diversity priority.
